Footprint text, precise places, coordinates, Lit administrative areas, and photos stay on the current device and are not uploaded to TracePoint servers.

Lit is derived in real time from on-device Footprints, requires no account, and creates no remote place content.

After signing in, accepted members can collaborate on destination names, expenses, and preparation items without a public link or remote map.
DATA BOUNDARY
Precise Footprints never enter TracePoint servers.
Apple MapKit provides maps, place search, and reverse geocoding in Mainland China. Footprint results stay on the device. For Trips, only the POI name string you finally confirm is stored in the private member Trip.
