Quick Pi is a native macOS client for Pi. It brings streaming conversations, code and command tools, Git workflows, session management, and model and provider configuration into a menu bar app with Pi Runtime included.

Native conversations

Open from the menu bar or a global shortcut, with streaming Markdown, code blocks, tool calls, stop control, and queued follow-up prompts.

Projects and Git

Use the selected workspace as the working directory to read and edit code, run commands, inspect branches and diffs, commit changes, and manage Git worktrees.

Sessions and context

Keep sessions separated by working directory, then switch, name, clone, branch, compact, or export them while tracking tokens and context use.

Models and providers

Use API key or OAuth access for Pi providers, or configure services compatible with OpenAI Responses and Anthropic Messages.

Persistent attachments

Attach images, PDFs, DOCX files, text, and source code, with files retained in the session across switches and application restarts.

Pi ecosystem

Load extensions, skills, prompt templates, project context, and installed packages, with in-app command search and Plan Mode.

Quick Pi 0.5.5 supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later. Current builds are Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, and the source is available under the MIT License.
