This policy explains how Beijing Suanshu Technology handles information associated with the PeakTrace app, software updates, product website, and support.
Monitoring data stays on your Mac
PeakTrace samples whole-system CPU, memory, disk, network, battery, and power metrics locally. The direct edition also reads CPU temperature and application and process metrics that macOS permits it to access. Trends, application rankings, and peak events remain only in application memory and are cleared when PeakTrace quits. PeakTrace does not upload this monitoring data.
Local settings and system permissions
Preferences such as language, menu bar metrics and order, and notification settings are stored in system preferences on the current Mac. Launch-at-login status and notification permission are managed by macOS. Notification content may include the metric and application name associated with a peak and is displayed and retained by macOS according to your system settings.
The direct edition requests macOS administrator authorization only after you invoke Release Memory. macOS handles the administrator credentials; PeakTrace does not receive or store the password.
Distribution and software updates
Apple processes Mac App Store downloads, updates, and related store data under Apple's terms and privacy policy. The direct edition is downloaded from the PeakTrace product website.
The direct edition uses Sparkle to check for updates. Automatic checks require your consent and use a one-day interval; you can also check manually at any time. Update requests do not include a system profile, and installation requires your confirmation.
Product website and support
The PeakTrace product pages use no advertising, profiling, or analytics scripts. To deliver and protect the website, downloads, and software updates, the website servers, Cloudflare, and related network providers may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested path, time, and security events.
When you send a support email, we process the email address, message content, and any device or error information you choose to provide so we can respond and resolve the issue. Do not send passwords, Apple ID details, document contents, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Retention and disclosure
Standard request logs for the website and update service are retained as needed to operate and secure those services and meet legal obligations. Support emails are retained as needed to handle the request and maintain necessary service records. Beijing Suanshu Technology does not sell personal information.
Personal information is disclosed only to the providers described in this policy, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service. Service providers acting on our behalf are required to process information only for the agreed purposes.
Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restrictions on processing of relevant personal information, except where retention is legally required. Send privacy requests to support@suancore.com.
